Professor Dr. Klaus Töpfer

Dr Iris Schöninger is Senior Advisor for development policy at Welthungerhilfe in Bonn. She is an expert in value chains and business-related projects in the context of food security. A political scientist, she has worked for the aid organisation for over fifteen years, and is currently also a member of the advisory board of the Cotton made in Africa initiative. Before that she was in charge of the Millennium Villages Project, was for many years spokeswoman for the VENRO campaign ‘Your voice against poverty’ and worked for the United Nations Volunteers programme and the German development service in Niger.
