Marlis Lindecke

Dr Marlis Lindecke heads GIZ’s Advisory Service on Agricultural Research for Development (BEAF) Programme, based in Bonn. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), she and her team manage the support to the international agricultural research centres of the global research partnership for a food-secure future (CGIAR), the World Vegetable Center (formerly AVRDC) and the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe).  A veterinarian by profession, she has been working for more than 30 years in development cooperation, including over ten years in Africa and Asia. Among other activities, Marlis Lindecke organised the establishment of the Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food Sector, managed the sector programme on agricultural policy and food security, and was DED Country Director in the Niger.
