Astrid Prange de Oliveira

As a former Brazil correspondent, Astrid Prange de Oliveira reported from Latin America for taz for eight years. Following her return, she continued her engagement with the newspaper as a member of its supervisory board. As an author, columnist, editor, and reporter, she has left a distinct journalistic imprint on Die Zeit, Rheinischer Merkur, Deutschlandfunk, and Deutsche Welle. Her work has been recognized with the European Commission’s Lorenzo Natali Prize for Human Rights as well as the Media Award for Development Policy.
