Carolina Jaramillo Ferrer leads Uniban’s sustainability agenda and directs the Uniban Foundation’s social investment strategy, aligning competitiveness, community wellbeing, and environmental stewardship across Colombia’s banana heartlands. Colombia is among the world’s top banana exporters, with production concentrated in biodiversity-rich, climate-exposed regions (Urabá and Magdalena). In this context, Carolina has built roadmaps that embed the SDGs, human rights due diligence, and shared value into agro-export supply chains—turning global commitments into measurable outcomes on the ground.

Her expertise blends corporate policy, multi-stakeholder governance, and public-private partnerships, with cross-cutting focus on biodiversity, water and climate resilience, decent work, and transparency. She represents the industry in international fora, advancing responsible standards and collaboration among producers, buyers, and civil society.
