Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) - Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V. (EWDE), Head of Department World Food and Social Rights

Mareike Haase has been working for Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) since 2013, where she heads the World Food and Social Rights Unit in the Policy Department. She is also a member of the board of VENRO, the umbrella organization of development and humanitarian non-governmental organizations in Germany.

Before joining Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt), Mareike Haase worked for other international non-governmental organizations, including in the field of global health and children's rights.

Mareike Haase holds a diploma from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn in Regional Science Southeast Asia and Political Science, with a focus on the involvement of rural populations in development cooperation projects.
