The Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA) has stood for over 60 years for the comprehensive education and training of farmers in Germany. It strengthens their ability to take responsibility for themselves, their business and the community. The academy also supports farmers in their efforts to get involved in the union activities because it is sponsored by the German Farmers' Union (DBV) and twelve other professional organizations. In this process, the DBV plays a central role in the interests of all, from individual builders through family businesses to cooperatives and large companies. In addition, the AHA and DBV are also active on an international level. They are members of the international AgriCord network, which brings together sponsors of agricultural development partners in an alliance. Together with these and other partners, the AHA supports the special initiative "EINEWELT ohne Hunger" (One World, no Hunger) to strengthen farming organizations in selected countries. Their trainers, advisors and experts from German agricultural organizations are active in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and India.
