ONE

ONE is a lobbying and campaigning organization which combats extreme poverty and preventable diseases, especially in Africa. In dialog with the public and political decision-makers, ONE is committed to smart and effective policies and programs: to fight AIDS and preventable diseases, to increase investment in agriculture and food, and to increase transparency in the fight against poverty. Over seven million people support the non-partisan work of ONE with their voice. In order to mobilize more young people in the fight against extreme poverty and give them a platform, ONE launched the Youth Ambassadors Program in 2011. In 2016, a total of 60 young people from all over Germany took part. The program spreads the word about successes in the fight against extreme poverty in developing countries, and calls for more commitment to development. To this end, the ONE Youth Ambassadors inform citizens in their own region and meet politicians.
